Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is an American as well as a Canadian musician and singer. She's released over 20 albums. The music of DiFranco is classified as folk, alternative and rock but she also draws influences from jazz and hip-hop. Ani Difranco is believed to be a feminist legend and Grammy award winner. As one of women's first artists of the 1990s, DiFranco created her record label. DiFranco was born on the 23rd of September 1970 in Buffalo, New York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who was introduced to Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Both her parents were both of Montreal from Montreal. Ani's song, 32 Flavors was composed by her, and performed by Ani. The song was featured on her album Not a Pretty Girl which was released in 1995. It was also featured on the soundtrack of the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate, released in 1999.
